The Foundation envisions a world which is full of laughter and joy for all the children. The work of the Foundation is to reach out to the least served children in slums (beggars, rag pickers) and change their life through education. They do this by setting up study centres inside the heart of slums and educating children by focusing on holistic development. They currently have 800 children with them in eight slums. Special stress is given to behavioral improvement of the children. The Foundation also gets the children enrolled into mainstream schools. They have been working a lot with girls as the toughest situations are faced by girls in the slums. Shubhendru Pandey has completed his engineering in Information Technology in 2012. He has been associated with Sarthak Foundation since the inception and takes care of all the operational activities of the Foundation. He has been instrumental in motivating parents from slums to let their children give up begging and take up education for improving their lives. He believes that every person who has been lucky enough to get good education should give it back to the society in whatever way they can.
